About your new Role
Škoda Australia is a future oriented brand on a great trajectory, with our sales volumes driven by our sustainable growth strategy. Our people are critical to our ongoing success, and we are currently looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the Škoda Australia team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and energetic superstar to propel their career in a well-established organisation. You will need to be able to work autonomously with a friendly, motivated, and pro-active attitude.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage the specification and pricing of Škoda vehicles from proposal to market delivery through various channels including press, dealerships, and marketing avenues.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of product information across both internal and external communication platforms.
- Develop, monitor and maintain Product Strategy to ensure models are consistent with brand image and goals.
- Gain understanding of consumer automotive trends and needs and closely monitor market and price development of Škoda vehicle segments
- Lead the development of model-by-model lifecycle planning
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Škoda vehicle models, technologies, and specifications
- Support all parties with the verification of product information where required.
- Manage periodic take to Market meetings & lead internal teams in the context of new model/variant/MY change to ensure launch meets desired timelines and all stakeholders are informed.
- Collaborate with Sales Planning team to determine volume and mixes of vehicles, variants, and options/packages.
About you To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:
- Extensive experience in a similar role from the Australian automotive wholesale industry
- Proven ability in accountability, management of multiple stakeholders and task with deadlines simultaneously
- A collaborative approach to the development and execution of strategies which assist in delivering sales objectives.
- The ability to apply strong analytical skills to gain insight into market performance and develop impactful plans.
- Knowledge of regulatory environment for vehicle registration and specification as well as advertising and communications
- High attention to detail, effective communication and time management skills
- High degree of IT literacy across a number of systems/platforms
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to identify and drive areas of business improvement.
