The Role
An exciting product marketing opportunity has become available to support the business across the product development life cycle. You will help drive sales outcomes through effective product development and continually looking for new ways to gain market share. Offering wide exposure to overseas sourcing, you will be involved in planning, developing and launching new products & supporting the full life cycle of product marketing outputs.
Day to Day
As a marketing professional you will have a diverse range of product marketing experience and will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Driving product range initiatives with retail partners
- Category growth and new product development
- Develop and maintain relationships with overseas (China) suppliers and manufacturing
- Margin analysis and price setting
- Able to build relationships cross departmentally to ensure products are launched to cost and on-time
- Produce and utilise reports / data to make strategic product decisions for the future
- A strong ability to utilise and manipulate excel data
- The ability to manage various projects at a time to ensure customer satisfaction
- Following up shipping requests and working closely with customers inventory planning teams
Skills needed
- Ability to work collaboratively across other departments (marketing, sales, operations etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent Excel skills
- Ability to look at and capitalise on market trends
- Heavily reliant on data to make future business decisions for your category
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- High level of commercial acumen and able to see the impact your work has on the overall business success
- Able to work in a fast paced, agile environment
