My client is a growing, knowledge-based agency and distribution business importing and supplying a unique range of specialty chemical products. Their head office is based in Sydney and they partner with some of the world's leading producers and suppliers of chemical specialties. The company has been officially recognised as an “employer of choice” over the past three years. The company has more than doubled in size over the past 8 years and in line with that continuing success, they are seeking a switched on Product Manager to join their Performance Ingredients Division.
Reporting to the General Manager of the division, you will manage a portfolio of specialty chemical products, targeted at manufacturers of Personal Care, cosmetics and food products. In conjunction with your suppliers, marketing and sales teams, your primary responsibility will be to maximise the profitable sales return on the capital employed for each product. Some of the chemistry you'll be dealing with, from internationally renowned suppliers include, but are not limited to, antiperspirant actives, emollients, dispersants, surfactants, suspending agents, emulsifiers and plant extracts.

To be considered, it is essential that you are an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident with a current Australian Driver’s license. It is also expected that you will possess high level English verbal and written communication skills. You will also be a university graduate in science or chemistry, or hold certificate/diploma qualifications accompanied with relevant experience. If you have worked as a new product development chemist, food technologist or are qualified in Personal Care product formulation, this role could be ideal for you.
