My client is a unique Financial Services organisation, providing specialist products and services to their clients. After a period of success and growth, they are looking to continue to improve and evolve the business, by focusing on adding maximum value to the customer. As part of their overall strategy, they are now moving to a product-led delivery model and require a Product Owner to lead these squads.
The Head of Product Strategy is looking to bring onboard a strategic, dynamic and 'out-of-the-box' thinker who is commercially astute and strategically focused to lead their own product squad.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Overseeing all stages of the product realisation process to deliver solutions that are desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable.
• Defining the value the team is to achieve, representing customer and business needs within my product domain.
• Proactively gathering internal and external customer needs, managing interdependencies and balancing competing priorities from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Leveraging market and user insights, and internal data as available, to create and prioritise backlog items.
• Engaging with clients to ascertain needs, demonstrate outputs and report on progress.
• Prioritising the product backlog based on business and customer impact and ensuring continuous value flow.
• Leading the planning of product release plans and setting expectations for the delivery of new features and functionality.
• Actively mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of sprint and release goals.
• Fostering built-in-quality, evaluating value delivered from the backlog by regularly evaluating progress toward story acceptance criteria and detecting and resolving defects.
• Managing release burndown (forecast of product releases).
• Ensuring every sprint value can be shown to the customer (internal or external).
• Working closely with the Product Manager to provide input to product strategy and translating it into the product backlog.
