YOUR ROLE
As a Product Owner you will leading the product roadmap for the Platform SRE team within Platform Engineering. You will engage with your customers deeply to understand their requirements and contribute to the delivery of the Platform SRE strategy. You will help to evolve our SRE offering as a product through modern agile practices.
You’ll work in a cross-functional agile team that consists of Platform Engineers, Technical Product Owners, Platform Architects etc.
In this role some of the key responsibilities includes: -
Lead the product development of our Platform SRE Strategy including the rollout of foundational capabilities to support the business-critical workloads for IAG’s Customer Technology Division.
Liaise with business stakeholders to understand their Platform SRE requirements and maintain a healthy backlog of the same while also helping to communicate the roadmap in clear terms to the business.
Participate in the creation and on-going maintenance of Platform Engineering rituals (including standards, processes, documentation, ways of working etc.), and become the product custodian of Platform SRE
Provide subject matter expertise in the products your team own and respond to project and user queries as required.
Be innovative in recommending service and process improvements and incorporating new services/functions/procedures that will meet the objectives of the IAG Technology organisation.
Be responsible for identifying, understanding, analysing and communicating product requirements and/or feature requests, collaborating with your team to assess technical feasibility and estimate effort
Prepare detailed documentation e.g. process diagrams, policies, training and communication documentation.
This is a full time, permanent role that is open to people based anywhere in Australia and New Zealand.
This role offers flexible working conditions that support a mix of working from home and being in the office.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for the right person, with a good attitude who will be a solid team fit with the following skills and experiences: -
Strong technical background in software or systems engineering
Good understanding of industry best practice techniques relating to user experience and customer journey mapping
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand business processes.
Strong business/client engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations.
