Our Purpose

The Crew is focused on helping the Group’s Business and Service units to drive excellence in customer fulfilment, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. We are responsible for the core platform and capability for both Pega and Microsoft Power Platform.

Our engineering capability builds core capabilities in these platforms, as well as building the APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and Microservices that enable the ‘Process Layer.’ Investment in the deployment of Reusable capabilities and the integration of Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) is enhancing these capabilities and scaling up to unlock material business benefits.

Our Vision

• We reduce development and maintenance effort over time by re-using increasing percentage of pre-built microservices, we automate controls and guardrails to drive consistent quality and production stability.
• We unlock increased consumption across BUs (Business Units) by building the most highly reusable component microservices, that can be consumed and assembled rapidly via Low Code
• We reimagine and automate our processes to enable rapid adoption by our consumers, and to ensure excellence in both reliability and resilience.
• We enable federated squads to streamline their delivery and focus on solving customer process challenges by building and maintaining class-leading hosting and functional capabilities that are easy to consume.

Do work that matters:

As Product Owner - Workflow Platform, you will lead and define the product vision, goals, and roadmap for your squad, driving output for the core engineering capability that supports business consumption. You will lead the end-to-end development of the product roadmap ensuring maximum output and quality.

Your ability to develop great relationships and apply your domain expertise will support prioritisation and successful achievement of business objectives Group-wide, whilst ensuring teams understand how to align their delivery to our Workflow Platform strategy.

This role will report to the General Manager, Crew Lead for Workflow Platform Crew.

Specifically, you will;

• Drive innovation and create a continuous feedback loop between Platform and Consumer in alignment of the product strategy
• Mentor and support other Product Owners across the Crew working with Agility coaches and performance teams to drive continuous improvement
• Formulate hypotheses to validate customer problems and define clear learning objectives that will inform continuous improvement, product roadmap and prioritisation decisions.
• Identify, articulate, and manage risks and compliance across streams of work
• Lead the squad day-to-day delivery and lifecycle activities
• Take accountability for effective Incident, Problem management, and the reduction of Tech Debt across the product
• Manage multiple senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure prioritisation is understood and agreed to
• Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking, etc.
• Release prototype and iterate a product that meets customer needs and achieves the Crew’s goals

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Proven Product Owner experience providing technology platform or service-based channels, to both internal and external technology consumers and across the business domains
• Highly developed Design thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in developing a Product Vision, Strategy, and the roadmap to implement it, aligned with the experience to communicate this vision across a broad range of senior stakeholders
• Highly experienced with Scaled Agile methodology and running high performing Agile squads
• Persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven experience managing multiple stakeholders, including senior LTs (Leadership Teams)
• Experience and exposure of leadership positions supporting one (or more) of the following domains: Software engineering, Enterprise transformation, Cloud Hosting, Managed services, Site Reliability engineering or Low-Code development
• Experience working cross geographies would be ideal
