ABOUT THE POSITIONWe are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our sales team, to work autonomously and manage established and new customers by building the alcohol beverage portfolio and our iconic and traditional Bickford’s portfolio, covering the Melbourne Western Suburbs and Ballarat territories. The successful applicant will effectively manage, promote, and sell products in order to maximise brand exposure, sales volumes and profits within the allocated territory with some regional travel.
Reporting to the VIC State Sales Manager, this position will be responsible for:
- Managing a client base of retail customers, growing volume, distribution, and profitability with existing outlets, achieving sales and distribution targets
- Managing a varied portfolio of accounts
- Executing State and National Strategy’s, Business Plans and Promotional Programs
- Planning and executing an effective journey plan to cover the territory
- Accurately record and enter data into company systems
- Timely reporting and sales admin tasks as required
Ideally you will be results orientated, hungry for success and understand the importance of delivering quality customer service to your clients whilst working to meet sales targets.
To be successful in the role you will need to have outstanding interpersonal skills, be willing to challenge the norm and have a genuine passion for achieving goals and developing the business. Proven success in a similar sales role or retail experience within an FMCG industry will be an advantage.
