At Darrell Lea we are now recruiting for experienced and motivated individuals to join our production shifts as our newly created Production coordinators working out of our very busy Ingleburn manufacturing facility.
No day is the same at Darrell Lea, so be prepared to be on the go. Reporting to the Shift Managers, these roles are key in ensuring that production occurs in the most efficient, safe and cost-effective manner to meet product demands.
These roles are permanent and will be run across the following shift patterns:
- Days - 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Afternoons - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Nights - 11:00pm - 7:00am
About the role
As a Production Coordinator your role is to provide support the shift Manager by successfully delivering, coordinating and monitoring functions to ensure that productions occurs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing the correct labour balance. This role will be responsible for the regular monitoring of productions safety and quality standards and provide ongoing training to deliver the company standards within the daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve quality, food safety and hygiene within area of responsibility and take corrective action in response to quality, food safety and hygiene non-compliance.
- Assist with scheduled training when necessary, keeping all training matrix's updated
- Complete assigned audits and checklists in line with WHS and Quality requirements.
- Controlled management of labour planning and forecasting against production plans.
- Monitor & report on KPI’s
- Investigate on Material variance and labour cost when necessary
- Review & report working hours of production team and complete weekly payroll
About You
The successful applicant requires:
- Someone with a can-do attitude, looking for the next step on their manufacturing career.
- Previous production experience is ideal within a FMCG/ Food or Beverage manufacturing environment but not essential.
- Sound understanding of WHS and Quality
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work well within a team environment
In addition, it’s essential that you have the following:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an environment that is “hands on”
- Sense of urgency, deadline driven with exceptional organisational skills
- Lead change and promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders
- Support a team of production workers to ensure that production requirements are met on a daily basis
- Intermediate level computer skills including use of MS Office suite
