We have an exciting and rare opportunity to join our team as Production Coordinator. This role supports the Production Manager to ensure a timely and successful workflow between in-house manufacturing and external manufacturers, accounts, with additional Quality Control responsibilities.

The role would be full time working 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday -Thursday) and 6:00am - 12:30pm Fridays. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying potential issues with Locked in orders and production limitations
  • Submitting all orders Submitted for production in NetSuite by creating Work orders in a timely manner to ensure maximum production lead time is achieved.
  • Assisting with Cutting team to Move BOM in NetSuite to ensure all fabric usage is accounted for and accurate recordings of operational steps are recorded.
  • Updating NetSuite with correct information of contractor allocation to ensure easy tracking of open Work Orders.
  • Updating Contractors Work Spreadsheet to ensure even distribution of workflow out to ensure best return rate back to factory
  • Assist Production Manager in all process requirements and scan in weekly priority sheets 
  • Submitting Work orders to contractor Cutter.
  • Creating Weekly Contractor lists of outstanding Work and receiving confirmation of sewer completion date, to be shared with QC team to help manage workflow and on time factory completions.
  • Creating and receipting in Purchase orders and Work Orders.
  • Verify and check contractor invoices against Gowns received in order to process invoices for payment.
  • Assist with daily contractor queries prior to directing them to the best team leader that can be of assistance.
  • Communicate with contractors regarding availability of work, outstanding work, scheduled holidays, sick days, rescheduling deliveries ensuring all sewer dates are met as per contractor agreement.
  • Arranging Contractor training for QC quality or Sewers in line with available of each team leader.
  • Help prepare packages to be sent to contractors following the dispatch procedures
  • Maintaining a neat and organised contractor pick up area attaching any notes to Contractors are attached to the outside of the box for contractors.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date Production sample library with monthly checks conducted to ensure production location is correct and any missing samples are verifies and accounted for.
  • Request trim as needed from procurement via email correspondence for Production for production.
  • Assist with fittings as needed
  • Rostered to QC Hem fit as and when needed following GLL Qc standards and specific gown requirements
  • Understand and follow technical specifications and quality control manuals
  • Identify garments for fabric faults, flaws, stains and/or marks and reporting back findings.
  • Analyse construction of garment including stitching, finishing and stretch allowance
  • Complete Quality Control reports as directed

Essential Knowledge/Behaviours Required:

  • Ideally 2+ years previous experience in the Textile manufacturing or retail environment in a similar role
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar manufacturing software or the ability to pick up this skill quickly
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment
  • Superior attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Exceptional work ethic, high energy and with strong multi-tasking and organisational skills
  • Ability to meet daily goals and deadlines

  • Intermediate level computer literacy, MAC experience desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
