Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and improving the production processes at the Kilsyth manufacturing site. A key function of this position is to ensure that all products are manufactured with utmost efficiency and quality, according to planned protocols and procedures using the appropriate technology and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- New products and processes introduction.
- Production costing, BOM's and routings.
- Design of production tooling, jigs and gauges using SolidWorks CAD.
- Manufacture and verification of production tooling and products OTS's.
- Production processes development.
- PPAP documentation, including SOP's and PFMEA's.
- Continuous improvement.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications and attributes:
- Exposure to Fabrication Manufacturing is essential.
- In-depth experience using Solidworks is essential.
- Automotive industry experience or tier one suppliers highly regarded.
- Clear understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
- 3 years in a similar role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
