Due to continuing growth within our First Class Manufacturing Facility based at Murarrie (Brisbane), we have an exciting opportunity for a Production Lead – Night Shift in the Wet Processing Team.
About the Role
As the Night ShiftProduction Lead you will be responsible for leading a team as well as ensuring all production activities are performed to the required operational and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading by example and ensuring a safe & clean work environment by educating and directing team members on company procedures and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Displaying an exceptional environmental, health and safety culture and led by example by challenging unsafe behaviors and reinforcing safe work practices.
- Processing safety incident reports within the required time frame when observing hazards or reporting incidents and completing actions in a timely manner.
- Assigning manufacturing tasks to team members and ensuring tasks are completed correctly and on time.
- Manage manufacturing issues and to be the first escalation point to management, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Work closely with the Production Scheduler to ensure the Production Schedule is optimized effectively to ensure all resources are on track and corrective actions are taken when required.
- Train, coach, and lead team members in day-to-day tasks.
- Hold regular Toolbox Meetings to cover departmental and site communications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities on site.
About You
- Relevant food manufacturing industry experience in Wet / Continuous Manufacturing Processing is essential.
- Approximately 5 years in a supervisory role and demonstrate effective team leading/supervisory experience within a fast-paced environment.
- High level communication; analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of In-house Computer Systems and MS Office.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and EHS is essential.
