Hanson is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia. We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Brandy Hill Quarry team as a Leading Hand. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this role will be a multi-faceted position, responsible for supervising quarry operations with a focus on production enhancement and improvement, therefore, the ideal candidate will preferably have mobile and fixed plant experience, with a background in mining, mineral sands, crushing hard rock or any floatation process highly regarded.
In your new role with us, you will:
- Supporting the production supervisor with the day-to-day production operations and making decisions that impact the overall performance of the business
- Managing people while bringing your team along the journey to successfully achieve goals
- Bringing a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others
- Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment and general labour activities
