The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Partnerships and Events Manager to join our marketing and business development (BDM) team. In this newly created role, you will identify, maintain and optimise W+K’s key partnerships and sponsorships across the industry in Australia, Singapore and London, and will develop and execute joint events, thought leadership, profiling campaigns, networking opportunities and brand enhancement initiatives for the firm. You will also oversee the firm’s national events program, working closely with the BDM team, with the support of the events team, to make sure it is aligned to the strategic objectives of the firm.

As an experienced manager, you will hit the ground running, bring fresh ideas, and provide hands-on support. The role would suit an organised, professional, and dynamic individual who wants to be part of a support, high-performing team. 

What you'll do

  • Strategically plan and execute a robust events and partnerships program that aligns with our firm’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the entire event lifecycle, from conceptualisation to execution, including budget management, venue selection, vendor negotiation, and on-site coordination.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with a diverse range of partners, sponsors, and suppliers, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with MBD team and other internal teams to craft compelling event content that engages attendees and amplifies our brand message.
  • Implement innovative event technologies and practices to enhance attendee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Who you are 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in partnerships and event management, preferably within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing large-scale, high-profile events with precision and flair.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the aptitude to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A creative mindset, coupled with a results-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of event management
