We currently have an opportunity available for a Production Line Manager to join the team at Visy Glass in Penrose on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Unit Plant Manager, you will have full responsibility for managing total operation of your allocated Production Lines that operate on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis, to maximise production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters.
The most important emphasis of the role is to facilitate a continuous improvement culture where all line members are encouraged and provided with both formal and informal opportunities to actively develop, implement and refine improvement ideas to improve the performance of the lines.
This is a diverse and varied role where you will work closely with all Manufacturing disciplines to ensure successful operations management, financial management and people and culture management are achieved.
What you will bring to the team:
You will require a minimum of 5 years experience working in a similar role within glass container manufacturing, as well as having a background in managing efficiency and quality standards.
Your ability to demonstrate your knowledge and experience in supervision as well as facilitating a continuous improvement approach within your roles, will set you up for success.
Although this role does not lead a team, people leadership experience would be advantageous as you will be leading process and production improvements.
