We are a rapidly growing chemical processing company located in the Northern suburbs. We are in need of an experienced Production Manager for our expanding operations to oversee the site and daily production schedules.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for all production planning, adhering to customer deadlines and be expected to use balanced judgement in their day today activities.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and oversee daily production activity in terms of output quality, quantity, cost, time, labour, equipment and materials requirements.
- Meet KPIs set for production output, labour, deadlines and costs.
- Motivate and lead the production team to achieve high standards of performance.
- Ensure that the production team is trained and developed to ensure best practice and drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe factory and work environment.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Management Team.
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety awareness and behavior across the facility.
- Implement and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards, 5S principles and waste reduction systems.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualification in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering desirable.
- 3+ years' experience in a Production Management in a manufacturing environment or as an Assistant Production manager looking to take the next step in their career.
- Strong organizational and people management skills.
- The ability to make and execute effective decisions.
- Strong experience in production scheduling, meeting KPI's and reporting.
- A commitment to Health & Safety.
- A hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly excel will be highly regarded.
Would suit an aspiring manager.
A salary of up to $90,000 + Super negotiated on experience.
