The Opportunity:
Positioned within our Precast Operations team, the Production Manager's role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of one of our manufacturing facilities in Mordialloc, heading up the production team within this department. This is a fast-paced position, managing a large production team, requiring someone with exceptional organisational skills. The successful applicant will have a strong focus on health, safety and quality with the ability to meet targets set out by the business.

Key responsibilities of the Production Manager:
- Responsible for implementing and reporting the production team's adherence to all health and safety policies.
- Overseeing all production processes within this department.
- Manage and supervise the production team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Labour utilisation and continued striving for efficiencies.
- Rostering of all staff to meet production demands.
- Planning and production scheduling.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or problems that may arise in the production process.
- Management of all equipment use and maintenance schedules.
- Identify and implement continual improvement to the production process.
- Ensuring all products meet relevant industry quality standards.
- Ordering of raw materials to meet demands.
- Estimating costs and contributing to future CAPEX budgets
- Preparing production reports
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements related to precast concrete production.
- Actively participate in professional development activities, such as attending workshops, seminars, or training sessions as required.
- Coordinating with SVC’s internal and external sales teams to ensure products are manufactured within the required lead times.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong written, verbal, and organisational skills
- A high level of attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of HSEQ requirements.
- Intermediate proficiency in computer systems and technology. (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in the manufacturing of precast products highly regarded, but not essential.
- A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel as required.
- Full working rights in Australia.
