Bakers Extra, a leading bakery in Smithfield NSW, seeks an experienced Head Baker / Production Manager to lead our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production team to deliver high-quality bakery products within specified timeframes.
- Develop efficient production plans to meet customer demand.
- Manage waste, maintain quality standards, and monitor ingredient inventory levels.
- Prepare staff rosters efficiently, ensuring an organized and clean workplace.
- Implement and supervise HACCP, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate equipment maintenance and oversee staff training on bakery machinery.
- Handle staff recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. -
- Coordinate & facilitate Toolbox meetings & training
- Support production supervisors and leading hands.
- Implement training programs, covering allergens and company values.
- Allocate daily tasks aligned with production scheduling and employee rosters.
- Complete performance reviews for direct reports and new employees.
Requirements:

- Baker qualification or equivalent experience.
