As Production Manager your role as Shaft Sinking Consultant you will conduct a readiness audit on the shaft sinking equipment, infrastructure, procedures and systems currently being established for the Prominent Hill Wira Hoisting ShaftKey Working RelationshipsInternalProject Managers, Mine Foremen, Shift Supervisors, SEQT Management, Recruitment, Procurement and Finance Team'sExternalClient.Key AccountabilitiesThe following statements are intended to provide the general nature of work being performed by the individual assigned to this position. Shaft Sinking Equipment· Ensure that Shaft Sinking Equipment procured for the project has been assembled and installed according to design and approved methodology.· Provide advice to site management team on the efficient use and installation of the Shaft Sinking Equipment· Report on all inspections and assessments carried out.2. Site PreparationReview the proposed site layout and audit for operational efficiencies. Advise on optimised site layouts to optimise transitions between shaft sinking cycles3. Training and ProceduresReview and audit all shaft sinking procedures and training resources. Advise on improvements and changes to align with global best practice methodology4. Risk ManagementParticipate in Operational Risk Assesssments with Company and Client personnel.5. ResourcingReview proposed resourcing (human and equipment) for the project and assess against global best practice.6. Continuous ImprovementActively promote, seek out and participate in a drive for continuous improvement. Review any innovations and as applicable apply them to the project to increase productivity, reduce cost and increase profitability.Qualifications and ExperienceEssential? Extensive experience within shaft sinking projects? Demonstrated experience in planning production activities in underground environment? Proven track record in organising shaft sinking projects from mobilisation through to demobilisation? Demonstrated commitment to deliver results? Clear and concise verbal skills / Proficient English reading and writing skills? Ability to understand and interpret contracts and statutory requirements? Ability to work to deadlines?
