Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Hampers business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the production processes, maintaining high standards of product presentation, and managing a dynamic team. This role is crucial in upholding the quality and reliability that Interflora is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Management:
- Order regular stock to maintain inventory levels and prevent shortages.
- Ensure all received stock is accurate and free of errors.
- Conduct regular stock counts and maintain an up-to-date inventory system.
- Financial Administration:
- Forward invoices to the accounts team promptly.
- Keep precise records of all invoices and related documentation.
- Monitor and reconcile stock-related financial transactions.
- Staff Management:
- Develop and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage, especially during peak periods.
- Recruit and hire additional staff during busy seasons to meet demand.
- Forward hours worked, annual leave, and sick leave information to the accounts team for both full-time and casual staff.
- Operational Oversight:
- Ensure smooth daily operations, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Oversee the presentation and quality of hampers, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Manage office operations and provide training to new staff during peak periods.
- Arrange timely pickups of parcels and coordinate with logistics partners.
- Client and Corporate Relations:
- Handle interactions with corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met and queries addressed.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards and build strong client relationships.
- Proven experience in a production or warehouse management role.
- A flair for creativity and attention to detail to ensure quality presentation of hampers.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and strong leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management and financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
