Production Supervisor (Seafood)

About the Role:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the role will be primarily responsible for execution of daily production in the Fish Processing area.

The position will be Permanent Full Time and based in Canning Vale, WA. 

Responsibilities:

• Execute the daily plan for the production of Sea Food in retail ready and MAP format.
• Maintain ongoing training of staff using GMPs and keeping Food Safety a core requirement
• Ensuring stock takes are completed weekly and daily stock checks are correct
• Maintaining a competent and motivated workforce
• Encouraging and building a strong safety culture
• Monitoring equipment and workforce efficiency, taking action to improve where necessary
• Supervise daily activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and legislation
• Participate in and lead regular communication to ensure effective resource planning in line with volume expectations, leave requirements and planned and unplanned absenteeism
• Collaborate and maintain a high level of cooperation with other supervisory staff on all matters related to service, cost and productivity

About You:

You will have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a team in Fresh Food
• Working with products for Major Retailers in Fresh Food
• Managing a fast pace and dynamic environment with a team of up to 30 staff
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels
• The ability to take responsibility, work independently as well as being part of a team
• MS Office skills. SAP knowledge will be an added advantage
