The Program Coordinator is an integral part of the I2N team, responsible for implementing and delivering Startups @ School - an ambitious program of speaker training and high school incursions. The Startups @ School initiative is focused on reaching and inspiring senior high school students to pursue technology-enabled entrepreneurship across NSW. The role is required to build and maintain strong relationships with I2N, related parts of University of Newcastle, entrepreneurs being supported in I2N programs, and high school contacts including career advisors and teachers.
This involves planning, coordinating, and executing programs, including logistics, timelines, budget, venue bookings, promotion, school engagement, participant recruitment, program collateral, AV and presenting at schools

The Integrated Innovation Network (I2N) facilitates the development of enterprise skills of students, researchers, alumni and the wider community, and supports pre-startups, startups and scaleups by connecting founders to coaching, capital, customers, and a community of entrepreneurs.

This fixed term position is full time until December 2024 and will be located at the City Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

What we offer
The remuneration for this position is from $82707.00p.a.+17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Demonstrated experience in events and community engagement programs / project delivery.
Strong public (in person and digital) presentation skills in a classroom or similar setting
Proven ability to build relationships and positive rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, set appropriate goals, prioritise work, manage time and workload, pro-active problem solving and decision-making skills.
Desirable
Experience engaging with secondary students and high schools in the delivery of educational programs
Knowledge of technology-enabled entrepreneurship / startups, either building one or working in one would be favourable.
