About the role:
Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for shaping the future of the Defence Industry Workforce? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Program Director to spearhead the implementation of the South Australian Defence Industry Workforce and Skills Report. In collaboration with the Commonwealth Government, you will play a crucial role in driving change and achieving milestones outlined in the Action Plan.
As the Program Director, Defence Industry Workforce, you will work closely with your Commonwealth counterpart to set and drive program and project milestones, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes and impact. Your responsibilities include fostering strong partnerships, leading a small team to deliver key workforce initiatives within the Report, managing program risks and reporting, and working closely with the South Australian Office for AUKUS, Defence SA and other State Government agencies, the Commonwealth Government, Defence Industry leaders, education and training providers, and unions. This is an opportunity to lead a transformative initiative that will have a lasting impact on the Defence Industry Workforce in South Australia.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in project management and the provision of advice on complex and politically sensitive issues. Your experience should include successfully driving and influencing the delivery of complex change programs involving people, processes, and systems, with a positive impact on various stakeholders and partners. Your communication, leadership, influencing, and negotiating skills should be highly developed, along with a strong capability in engagement and relationship management to develop and foster relationships and diverse networks.
Demonstrated business acumen, coupled with proven business and project planning skills, critical analysis skills, and the ability to evaluate strategy and apply information to drive business outcomes are essential.
