The Program Director-Parkinson’s (SA/NT/ ACT) / Stroke SA, working closely with the Chief of Client and Patient Services, will oversee the daily operations of the THRF Group – Parkinson's and Stroke SA teams ensuring that programs and services are delivered to a high standard and that our strategic objectives are being met.

About the role
The Program Director reports directly to the Chief of Client and Patient Services (CCPS) for the successful execution of the general Group and specific Parkinson’s/ Stroke objectives, including accountability to the strategic plan objectives, management of the staff, service provision, clinical governance, business development and advocacy.
The Program Director will be accountable for the standards of client and patient care and the practice standards of the multi-disciplinary team members (nursing, allied health etc).
They will deliver on key performance indicators, strategic, operational, and financial deliverables for the program.
Role responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical leadership and professional advice to Parkinson's SA/ NT/ ACT and Stroke SA as a part of the program’s leadership team consistent with the Groups strategic objectives and Clinical Governance Framework.
- Provide leadership in the representation of and provision of services to people with Parkinson's and Stroke
- Work with the CCPS to undertake strategic planning for the organisation and be responsible for the implementation of the Strategic Plan.
- Direct and oversee all operational aspects of Parkinson's SA/ NT/ ACT and Stroke SA
- Create and maintain a work culture that aligns with the stated values of the Group
About you:
To be successful in the role you will ideally;
- Be a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional who holds a current practicing certificate with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Masters or equivalent experience in Business, Public Health or Leadership
- At least 5 years post registration experience in a similar leadership role
- Experience in applying contemporary management processes and clinical practices in a community setting
- Experience in business development, grant writing and managing complex grants and projects
- Experience in government relations and policy/ advocacy
- Experience in leading services or organisations through times of extensive change
- Experience in leading quality improvement initiatives in community setting
