About the Role

The Program ManagerCoaching and Carer Connection is responsible for the overall leadership of a geographically dispersed team across regional and metropolitan South Australia, who deliver vital face-to-face services to Carers and raise awareness of services in local communities.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Service Delivery, and as a member of the Carers SA Program Management Team, key focus areas of responsibility include:

• Acting as a coach and mentor, support and empower Team Leaders to ensure the delivery of high quality, responsive services to Carers are delivered across metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia
• Providing accountable leadership to the Coaching and Carer Connection team to ensure that key performance indicators, delegations and government service delivery guidelines are met
• The development and implementation of policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency in process and interpretation of funding guidelines
• Responding to and resolving any issues raised with services and recommending service improvements
• Ensuring that regular reporting and data requirements are met

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop people through the creation of a high performing, responsible and accountable culture
• Strong communication skills to facilitate remote collaboration, coupled with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse range of people 
• Ability to communicate and influence organisational safety culture with teams
• Previous operational management experience within the community services or similar sector
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams who work remotely and/or a mobile work force
• Knowledge of services and supports offered formally and informally within the community services sector

Successful candidates will need to have:

• A National Police Clearance
• Current DHS Working with Children Check
• Completed Child Safe Environments – Through Their Eyes training (or be willing to undertake this training)
• Valid Drivers Licence
