Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join UnitingSA. Lead and shape the Child, Youth and Family Services portfolio as Program Manager. Drive programme development to enhance quality outcomes for children, young people, families, adults, and communities in South Australia. This is a 12 month position, offering full-time hours until the end of 2024, with the possibility of continuation next year. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support staff to achieve service excellence.
- Chair various meetings and facilitate planning activities.
- Ensure comprehensive staff induction, training, and development.
- Conduct performance reviews aligned with organisational standards.
- Drive personal and career development through proactive engagement.
- Collaborate with leadership for effective service management.
- Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and funders.
- Deliver services sensitive to diverse needs.
- Empower clients using strengths-based approaches.
- Develop and utilise relevant networks.
- Foster collaboration to achieve client and program goals.
- Contribute to service enhancements and portfolio growth through innovative projects and grants.
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in human services with diverse intervention models.
- Proven track record in complex case management within team environments.
- Demonstrated capability in staff management and performance development.
- Experience in managing service provision and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong team leadership abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide strategic direction and facilitate staff planning.
- Skilful in promoting services and advocating for client groups to stakeholders.
- Community skills including networking, negotiating, and mediation.
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work or equivalent, with extensive community work experience.
- Current SA driver’s licence.
- Safe Environments For Children and Young People – Through their Eyes Certificate.
- Current DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
