How will I help?
Online Share Trading is designed for self-directed investors seeking access to trade securities across a wide range of domestic and international markets. The Online Share Trading business is undertaking a period of transformation to better meet the needs of more Westpac customers.
This is a critical role to lead and manage a key transformation project to ensure the business achieves its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes. There is also a requirement to oversee other Online Share Trading projects in a coordinated manner drawing on existing business resourcing and expertise.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the project team effectively works with numerous stakeholders (including business SMEs, technology teams, IT architects) to clearly capture, document, and validate requirements with business sign off
- Execute projects to deliver solutions/capabilities that meet business requirements and realise benefits within agreed scope, time, cost and quality
- Monitor and report to the Program Director and Project Sponsor on status of financials, risks, issues and progress towards milestones and deliverables
- Translate business needs into a clear and measurable program of work which is aligned to the broader strategy
- Comply with the group governance processes, to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of their role in delivery and that the required decision making and escalation processes are in place to help achieve the required outcome
- People Management to ensure the required capability is available to deliver project outcomes.
- Program management of Online Share Trading projects, including risk and issue management, forecasting, system reporting inputs and SteerCo reporting
- Supporting updates to the Online Share Trading value chain (processes and risk profile) and digital
- Engage, inform, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to help drive strong execution and delivery

What do I need?
We are looking for an exceptional and talented Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in successfully leading and managing medium/large projects, ideally familiar with wealth management, platforms or investments, together with:
- 5 + years experience within projects and/or delivery of technology solutions (minimum 3 years at Project Manager level)
- 3+ years working in a large and complex organisation
- 3+ years experience in the financial services industry
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of systems integrations
- Strong project management, stakeholder and communication skills
- Experience in change management.
- Integrity and good judgement to drive operational efficiency and sound risk management
- Data experience
- Advanced Knowledge of Agile and traditional project delivery tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Demonstrated success in managing and achieving results from medium complexity projects, embedded project deliverables and working closely with business stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
