Form of work In the role of Program Manager (Targeted Road Safety Programs/Engineering and Technology Delivery) you will be responsible for the delivery, ongoing monitoring and management of the Engineering and Technology (E&T) Delivery Programs and the development and monitoring of the Targeted Road Safety Program (TRSP). You will provide expert advice, guidance and high level support to senior leadership within E&T.
Accountabilities include:
* Lead and monitor the delivery of E&T's Delivery Programs and the development and monitoring of the TRSP to ensure financial performance targets are met.
* Provide leadership, expert advice and guidance for program development and management across E&T's Delivery Programs and ensure it is in line with the overall budget allocations and delivery timeframes.
* Drive consistency of governance rules and parameters and work pro-actively with regional and E&T business areas to establish and maintain E&T's Delivery Programs and to ensure consistency of the financial delivery of E&T's Delivery Programs.
* Ensure that financial program management principles and practices are applied by E&T business areas within the QTRIP framework for the TRSP and E&T Delivery Programs.
* Lead and coordinate the establishment and maintenance of financial and reporting processes and interfaces with other business areas of the department to achieve the TRSP and E&T Delivery Programs objectives.
* Build and maintain strategic networks and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the TRSP.
* Prepare Ministerial Briefing Notes, Submissions, Board papers, monthly reports, briefings and other sensitive correspondence as required for the TRSP and E&T Delivery Programs.
* Provide delivery performance reports and financial performance reports and undertake timely reviews of E&T's Delivery Programs.
* Provide leadership and guidance in the overseeing of the successful development of TRSP's various sub-program processes, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented where required.
* Provide expert advice and lead the analysis of the TRSP development, providing regular strategic feedback and reporting to SRI leadership.
* Produce and review governance documentation, guidelines, program plans, reports and other documents required to support and develop the TRSP.
* Analyse, monitor and report monthly on the financial progress of the TRSP and E&T Delivery Programs to ensure delivery within allocation and in line with relevant state and federal government requirements.
* Analysis and report on the TRSP and E&T Delivery Programs in relation to Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) development.
* Lead the review and assessment of the TRSP projects and program variations to ensure objectives of legislative and administrative requirements are met.
* Provide high level support and advice for projects to ensure strategic alignment with Queensland and national Road Safety strategies and action plans for the TRSP.
* Develop, implement, monitor, manage and review operational plans to ensure best possible Road Safety investment performance, and identify issues, concerns or problems for immediate review and rectification to ensure the program is positioned to meet governmental, department, industry and stakeholder expectations.
* For the TRSP, provide expert advice and proactively contribute to the review of existing and development of new tools, processes and procedures so that they are simplified, workable, efficient and add value.
