The Role
Reporting to the Capital Program Director and based in Windsor NSW, this
position manages the program for Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program
(formerly WestInvest) in a 3 year temporary, full time position.
Internally titled WestInvest Project Coordinator, the primary purpose of
the position is to drive the delivery of Council’s transformative Capital Works
Program funded by the State Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants
program (formerly WestInvest) for the Hawkesbury Community. The position provides
leadership and guidance to the Program Delivery Team, with the support of the
Capital Program Director, and takes responsibility for the internal and
external reporting on the delivery of the program.
About You
You will have an extensive
history of successfully delivering Capital Works and Infrastructure programs of
work. You will have a strong background in building and leading high performing
teams, with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement. You will
have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain
effective relationships across various stakeholder groups and will be committed
to achieving organisational targets and objectives to achieve Council’s purpose
of building a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people.
Essential Criteria
- 10+ years experience delivering Capital Works and Infrastructure programs of work above $5m
- A strong background in building, managing and leading high performing teams
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated
experience and understanding of relevant Project Management and Contract
Management practices and principles - Extensive
financial management experience ie. budget controls, estimations and resource
planning - Knowledge
and application of relevant legislation including the Local Government Act and
Regulation & Securities of Payment Act - Class C
Drivers Licence - Workcover
WHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW - Local Government experience highly desired
