About the role
You will oversee key program-related domains within the PMO framework, including Governance, Prioritisation, Resourcing, and Reporting. Additionally, you will define the strategy and foster the development of the organisation's Centre of Excellence. Working closely with the PMO Director, you will drive stakeholder engagement and build trust across all levels of the organisation. Collaboration with Department Heads for performance monitoring and reporting will also be a crucial aspect of your role.
Your main areas of focus will be:
- Stewardship of PMO governance framework and underpinning infrastructure
- Program management, reporting and driving of compliance to standardised and consistent business processes
- Leadership of strategic programs aligned to organisational objectives
- Ensuring project portfolio is prioritised and resourced sufficiently
- Coaching and mentoring of team members to support organisational upskilling and drive successful projects and programs
- Cultivate a culture of learning, drive evolution in the ways of working and nurture a continuous improvement mindset

The skills and experience you’ll need:
- 5+ years leadership experience in Program Governance and demonstrated competency in Capability Development
- Deep knowledge and industry credentials in Project & / or Program management
- Understanding of the roles Change Management and Continuous Improvement play in the Project Lifecycle and organisational upskilling.
- Cross-functional business acumen
- Proficiency with Project Management software & tools
- Comfortable in development of business cases and advocating for a recommended course of action.
- Ability to translate complexity and strategy into practical simplicity that allows a shared understanding of requirements.
- Familiarity with different project delivery approaches and ability to advocate for the benefits of each method.
- Excellent inter-personal soft skills including empathy, communication, assertiveness and emotional intelligence.
- Adaptable and versatile leadership style that can flex according to business and stakeholder requirements, and cultural ways of working.
- Proven ability and track record of coaching & mentoring Project Managers and Functional Project Leads
