ABOUT YOU
With your interests, skills and experience, you will be able to assist and instruct clients in some or all of the following.
- Life skills (e.g. cooking, sight words, hygiene)
- Creativity (e.g. crafty, musical, visual artist, DIY)
- Community access (e.g. social skills, work experience)
- Educational interests (e.g. numeracy, literacy)
- Physical activities (e.g. dance, sport, active games)
- CPR and First Aid certificates
- Flu and Covid vaccinations (including current booster)
- Completed NDIS Orientation and Induction modules
- Working with Children clearance - Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance - Yellow Card. (We can advise successful applicants on how to apply for these clearances.)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Program Officers prepare and run activities. You will be required to adapt programs to individual needs. The role includes:
- Implementing personal and medical plans
- Planning, adapting and presenting activities
- Supporting clients to achieve successful outcomes
- Assisting with personal care (e.g. toileting)
- Providing community-based experiences
- Administration of medication
- Completing reports and paperwork
- Helping with transport if required
