We are looking for a Project Administrator (Officer) for a 15 month contract, going until June 2025.
Their offices are located in Berrinba (South Brisbane). We are looking for someone who is happy to work in their offices for at least 3 days per week.
You also must have a 'C' class drivers license for this opportunity.
You will:
- Monitor and report on project progress, implementing best practice guidelines and processes to ensure consistent and quality outcomes are achieved for the program and assigned projects.
- Establish optimal administrative measures by monitoring project plans, budgets, supporting tasks, records, and registers in line with the project lifecycle and program management practices.
- Assist the Program Office in identifying risks, issues, and constraints that may affect project timeframes, and help develop strategies to overcome these challenges.
- Use effective communication skills, including interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement, to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a complex and evolving environment.
- Prepare complex and sensitive reports, briefings, policy papers, submissions, and other documentation for senior departmental management and other stakeholders as needed.
- Gather relevant information from various stakeholders to provide high-level and timely advice on resolving emergent issues requiring innovative and targeted responses.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of political, human resource, and financial pressures impacting service delivery, and recommend actions to achieve agreed program outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departmental staff to manage communication and information activities to synthesise program outcomes.
- Work as an effective team member, collaborating with other team members and key stakeholder groups across the program to achieve outcomes.
- Develop and maintain systems for effectively monitoring and reporting program activities.
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills in a complex program/project environment.
- Experience with managing large programs or project administration.
- While not mandatory, familiarity with MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK, or other methodologies would be advantageous.
- Possession of a "C" class driver's license.
