Job description

Job Description
  • Lead the delivery of exciting Change Programmes across Australia's Largest Footwear Company
  • Work with impactful projects with visibility across a dynamic retail environment.
  • Say YES to more of life's BIG moments with hybrid working and a great company culture

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for driving change and delivering impactful projects in a fast-paced environment? Munro Footwear Group is seeking a talented Programme Managerto join our Change Delivery team and lead the delivery of complex projects within our PMO portfolio.

Our Change Delivery team are creating some incredibly exciting waves across our business with multiple medium-high value projects running simultaneously across our fast-paced retail environment. We have already seen several high-impact projects go-live across the company this year! And there are plenty more to come.

More about the Role;

As Programme Manager you will lead activities across a portfolio of projects, while developing engaging relationships among our internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the General Manager of Change Delivery, you will have full visibility of our program of projects while leading the end-to-end aspects of the projects.  Ideally you will have experience in a Retail environment and be able to bring your insights and experience into this innovative portfolio.   This opportunity will be a permanent full-time role and based in our Head Office in Abbotsford. We also have a hybrid work model at Munro and fully supported WFH policy (2 days per week).

What your day will look like;

The Programme Manager is responsible for:

  • Effectively delivering multiple complex projects within the PMO portfolio by vigorously adopting the agreed Change Delivery framework
  • Estimating and developing logical and realistic plans upfront and maintaining a consistent project cadence.
  • Supporting and improving the function of the PMO.
  • Effective decision-making facilitation and escalation whilst building robust engagement and communications with key stakeholders

What you will bring to this role;

We are looking for a passionate and empowering Programme Manager who can work efficiently and effectively without an entourage. You are self-reliant with the mindset to demonstrate your experience by filling gaps when you identify them, and improving processes when you see an opportunity to do so.

Our projects attract professionals who love to roll up their sleeves, are fast-moving and centered around the rapidly moving world of retail.

  • You will have 5+ years in a senior leadership role within the Technology sector such as Head of, Programme Manager, or Senior Project Manager.
  • Will be effective in managing and delivering large programmes; more than 3 medium/large projects (> 6 months, $500K budget) at the same time.
  • Have a passion for leading and managing a small and talented team of 3 or more.
  • You will ideally have experience managing an HRIS Project, and retail related projects.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong project planning and execution. You have your finger on the pulse of the current projects and emerging challenges and bring your advanced problem-solving skills and PMO experience into play to counteract foreseeable issues.
  • You are naturally goal orientated, action focused with an ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and work to deadlines
  • You have a strong appetite for transformation and the ability to deliver projects efficiently and on a budget.
  • Exposure to Retail, eCommerce, Supply Chain and Merchandising is highly desirable.
  • Hold an industry project management certification (to show commitment and interest to the profession – e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, AIPM, CSM, SAFe Agilist, Six Sigma). You have had exposure to waterfall and iterative project methods
  • You will be a natural and confident communicator with excellent relationship building skills including business stakeholder engagement.

You're not expected to have 100% of these skills. We want you to grow and mature with the rest of the organisation. If you love being in the driving seat of exciting, rapidly moving project delivery then we invite you to explore this role - we would love to hear from you.

  • A competitive Salary Package
  • Career Growth and development opportunities with a fun & friendly team
  • Through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) you'll have access to professional and confidential counselling and support services
