Project Accounting Manager

Design & Build Recruitment has partnered with a leading EPC firm to find a talented and experienced Project Accounting Manager. This role involves managing the financial aspects of their renewable energy projects and the ideal candidate will be a finance professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience in overseeing all financial matters related to renewable energy projects within an EPC or similar business.

Please note that this role is office-based, five days a week in Double Bay.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective reporting and maintenance of finance and accounting functions for a portfolio of projects of various sizes. You will be an outstanding communicator who enjoys partnering with internal and external parties to provide effective accounting processes and ensure that projects critical to Australia's renewable energy projects are costed and reported accurately.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Accounting Manager:

• Efficiently and effectively report and maintain finance and accounting functions for a diverse portfolio of projects.
• Serve as an outstanding communicator, partnering with internal and external parties to ensure effective accounting processes.
• Ensure that all renewable energy projects are accurately costed.
• Ensure that financial reports for projects are accurate and timely.
• Provide direct support to the CFO in managing the financial aspects of the projects.

Requirements for the Project Accounting Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (or a related field) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• CPA certification from CPA Australia
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with key stakeholders.
• Proven track record in report preparation, meeting monthly deadlines, and supporting project delivery teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
