Mincore has been awarded a large EPCM project, located near Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. This an exciting, fast track, Greenfields project.
Mincore is an Engineering and Project Management Services and Specialist Equipment provider offering engineering, procurement, construction and advisory services to the mineral resources, hydrocarbons and building materials industries. Our professional team of Project Managers, Engineers designers, Procurement specialists and buyers have extensive experience across a broad range of projects and countries. We work collaboratively with our clients from initial pre-feasibility through to detailed design and provide support throughout procurement, construction, and commissioning.
As a result of being awarded this project, Mincore is seeking to employ a Project Coordinator to provide administration support to the Project Director for this exciting project. The project will take 18 months to deliver and will involve staff located around the globe.
The role of Project co-ordinator will be located in Mincore’s head Office in West Melbourne. You will also provide support and ancillary services to Mincore's Hanoi Vietnam office.
As the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the smooth running of projects from an administration and organisation perspective, from project acceptance to project completion. The role forms part of the greater Mincore support team and works in synergy with the broader team to provide exceptional services to both internal and external clients. It is a diverse and active role, ensuring the effortless running of Mincore’s project administrative functions.
The Role:
- Work with assigned project leaders to ascertain project administration required on specific projects.
- Issue documents as directed on various platforms.
- Attend client meetings and prepare minutes as required.
- Coordinate the preparation of documents for issue to the client – format to Mincore’s style guide.
- Follow up with internal team members to confirm status of deliverables.
- Communicate and set project deadlines for internal team.
- Coordinate timing and team availability for site inspections.
- Print and scan documents as required.
- Assigning costs to project cost centers
- Ensure Projects records are up to date across all platforms.
- Compile site Production & Installation folders and assist with preparation of site documentation for each project
- Answering of incoming calls and greeting visitors as required
- General Project Admin Support
About You:
- Excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Previous experience in a Mining, EPCM or mineral processing, or consulting engineering background.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
- Customer service skills, a high level of verbal and written communication skills, and strong computer skills including the use of Outlook and Microsoft programs.
- MS Word and document formatting skills
- Enjoy working in a team environment, have a proactive, flexible approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Sound ability to manage competing demands and priorities.
- Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate business needs.
- Comfortable working autonomously, while being a key member of the team.
