Project Coordinator

  • 6 x Temporary Full-Time, Temporary up to 12 months opportunity with possibility of extension
  • Location: Parramatta CBD hybrid working arrangements
  • Clerk Grade 7/8 - Salary from $106,025to $117,363+ super and annual leave loading

Your role


We are currently seeking a highly organised and driven Project Coordinator to join our Major Digital and ICT Programs team within the Information and Digital Services division. The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in providing support to the Project Manager in the planning, execution and closure of projects to ensure they are delivered successfully within time and budget.

What you’ll do

  • Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.

  • Experience in supporting project development and delivery within a complex project environment.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes

While the Department of Communities and Justice offers a flexible or hybrid working arrangement some office work will be required and therefore to be considered for this role you would need to live in NSW or be relocating to NSW.
