Position Overview:
Based out of Mancala’s Head Office in Notting Hill, the role of the Project Coordinator is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, parts, materials and equipment required.
As we continue to strive for growth, we are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Project Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Operations (HOO).
The core duties include:
- Manage projects from inception to implementation
- Support the establishment, mobilise and demobilise project specific teams where necessary utilising permanent, temporary and professional services.
- Cohesively work with the Project Manager or Supervisor allocated to the project
- Build a project schedule and ensure that projects are delivered within given timeframes and meet client/project requirements
- Utilise suitable project management and control methods to ensure the agreed project outcomes are achieved
- Create, track, and monitor purchase orders, invoices, and budgets across all projects.
- Preparation of reports for internal and external consumption.
- Identify improvement opportunities in Mancala’s general operations or processes and provide/implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Coordinating documentation, design and development of projects
- Coordinating project schedules and helping
- Contacting company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports
- Interacting extensively with business development, engineering, technical services, and project managers
- Assisting with the reporting on the progress against project timeframes, milestones and budget.
- Analysing problems, determining approach, compiling and analysing data, and preparing reports/recommendations.
- Ensuring all project records are accurately maintained and recorded
- Ability to influence and share knowledge to create a high energy, positive and open team environment
Requirements:
- Minimum Five years’ (5) experience in a similar role is preferable
- Strong skills with scheduling and planning tools such as MS Project
- Tertiary qualification in project management or similar field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills including exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, achieve required outcomes and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to successfully deliver projects, coming in on time, to scope, quality and within budget.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Fluent in the use of MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Experience with identification and interpretation of client requirements and providing accurate and timely advice.
- Ability to make independent judgements, identify information needs and contribute to strategies and improvements.
