Project Designer

Constructive Solutions Pty Ltd (CSPL) is seeking to expand its civil design team in order to meet an expanding amount of design work. Location can either be in our Brisbane (Toowong) or Tamworth offices.

CSPL is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with offices based in Brisbane (Toowong), Tamworth and Toowoomba. We provide civil and environmental engineering design and management solutions with specific expertise in the project management of civil infrastructure projects. Our clients comprise State government, local councils, resource sector companies and other commercial enterprises.  The design work predominantly consists of road, drainage and earthworks design, however we also provide structural designs, water and wastewater reticulation designs.

The Project Designer shall be responsible for:

• Prepare concept and detailed designs for earthworks, roads and drainage projects. using CAD software;
• Read and interpret civil and structural drawings.;
• Liaising directly with Clients including Councils, Transport for NSW and private organsiations.;
• Procurement of other design services which may include writing Briefsdesign briefs.;
• Managing surveyors and other subcontractors.: 
• Providing design advice to the CSPL Project Managers and Clients.

• Experience (ideally 5 years) in preparing road designs to Austroads/State Road Authority standards (ideally 5 years);.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills.;
• A high degree of computer literacy.; 
• Currently resident in Australia and be legally able to work in Australia.; and
• A current NSW or Queensland driver’s licence.

• A high level of expertise using, Civil 3D or 12D; DRAINS, AutoCAD;
• Experience in undertaking stormwater design, as related to road design projects;
• Prior consulting and project management experience; and
• Experience with SIDRA intersection analysis software.
