Working as part of the Capital and Infrastructure team, this role will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton Acute Tower Project, an exciting development and expansion of the MMC Clayton site.
The Monash Medical Centre, Clayton Acute Tower Project is a State Government project that received planning funding in the May 2023 Victorian State Budget. The project will see a significant development and expansion of the Clayton site with an uplift of critical services including Intensive Care, Operating Theatres and a new Women’s centre.
The Project Director, MMC Clayton Acute Tower Project will provide leadership and coordination of key activities to progress planning and delivery of the project working with teams internally within Monash Health across clinical and support areas. The role will oversee the coordination of stakeholder engagement, planning and liaison; management of risks, staging and key project issues and providing direction to the project. The role will establish strong relationships with the Victorian Health Building Authority to ensure that key issues are addressed and that operational issues are actively considered and managed in all project planning and delivery.
The Project Director role is a full time role, fixed term initially for 3 years. The role will report to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Monash Medicine, Monash Medical Centre and will work alongside a small team responsible for the delivery of all major capital across Monash Health.
About You
- Strong and developed leadership and management skills with experience in the delivery of complex capital projects
- Ability to work as part of a team, including internal and external stakeholders
- Skills and ability to manage complex issues, problems and competing priorities
- Qualifications in Project Management, Finance management and similar would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated understanding of the Health care sector
- Experience within the Acute Health Sector required; including clinical experience where appropriate
