Working together, KBR and SA Water have a collective goal of delivering a $1.8 billion capital investment program of interesting and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure across South Australia.  To do this we are innovating by adapting a better, more sophisticated approach to how we plan, manage, and deliver new programs.    In this role you will be embedded in SA Water working on behalf of the community to improve safety, reliability, cost and communication.

The Opportunity 

As a Project Engineer you will be integrated into SA Water supporting a large portfolio of wastewater infrastructure programs and projects.  Liaising and collaborating with an extensive stakeholder group of construction partners, vendors, regulators and SA Water will be critical as you drive the program to beneficial outcomes. Our collective goal is to deliver an efficient capital program and infrastructure projects from inception to close out - safely, on time, within budget and to customer and community expectations. 

As a key member of this team, you will be required to: 

  • Engage with senior Project Managers, third parties and delivery partners to implement delivery strategies and achieve outstanding project and program outcomes 

  • Assist with projects or programs being delivered safely, on time and in accordance with cost, technical, environmental, operational, and social requirements. 

  • Contribute to the progress of design development, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases across several concurrent projects or programs through a variety of contractual models. 

  • Maintain accurate records and report to the Project Manager on program/project scope, cost, time, risk, social, environmental, etc aspects. 

  • Ensure legislative and policy compliance, including safety, procurement, water quality, risk, and environment.

Who are you? 

To succeed in this opportunity the skills and experience required are: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or relevant industry experience. 

  • Demonstrated communication/reporting skills and experience in working with a broad range of stakeholders 

  • Understanding of various delivery/contractual models and legislative WHS requirements 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with accuracy in reporting
