The Role
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of civil projects, to time, cost, quality and safety outcomes. This is an opportunity for a driven individual looking to expand their project, commercial and Delivery Management Methodology experience. This position would suit a well-rounded Senior Project Engineer looking for career progression within a self-performing program.
Responsibilities Include
- Manage, coordinate and deliver complex, end-to-end projects of varying sizes across design, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
- Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to uphold Downer standards and adherence to operational and safety procedures and legislation.
- Prepare, maintain and report on progress against schedules. Monitor any delays and provide effective solutions to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed plans and KPI’s.
- Participate in design review process to ensure value for money outcomes and environment, operational and maintenance impacts are considered within planning and design phase.
- Advise, support and guide commercial, procurement and scheduling functions on optimal Project Management execution.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Project Management and experience delivering outcomes based on time, cost, quality and safety.
- Leadership qualification or Project Management certification (highly regarded)
- Analytical, budgeting and financial planning experience within dynamic contracting service environment.
- Passionate about professional development, coaching and collaboration, building team capacity and strengthening effectiveness of project teams and processes.
