A vibrant and progressive local government organisation on the lower north shore of Sydney, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the development of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise on project designs, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Develop specifications and tender documents, along with preliminary budgets and pre-construction estimates.
- Manage allocated capital works programs and supervise project administration, including contract performance, record-keeping, and budget monitoring.
- Liaise with contractors, Council staff, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and Council standards.
- Contribute to the development of operational policies, guidelines, and Plans of Management.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on projects and specialist matters.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in engineering, building management, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role within local government.
- Class C Drivers Licence and Construction White Card.
- Strong project management and contract supervision skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultation abilities.
- Competency in MS Office programs and effective budget monitoring skills.
Work on a range of projects including playground upgrades, sportsground upgrades, and facilities buildings.
