Project Manager

Project Manager required for global communications company based in Sydney, being responsible to deliver on government hardware/software/application development projects you will have strong project management experience. Software and Application experience required, experience in a similar industry preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing and managing plans and budgets.
• Regular reporting on project delivery, risks and status
• Customer insight reporting
• Working with key stakeholders to obtain business outcomes
• Manage suppliers and contractors to ensure delivery is on time and to specification.
• Execute any project related activities
• Project documentation
• Manage stakeholder engagement
• Conduct problem solving analysis to resolve project issues
• Assisting the development of proposals and quotes for provision of services and hardware to meet customer requirements
• Preparing and maintaining definitions of the requirements of projects
• Preparing and maintaining schedules of activities and events of projects
• Developing, maintaining and applying quality management processes for project activities and outputs
• Securing the provision of resources needed for projects from internal and/or external providers
• Agreeing contracts for the provision of goods and/or services, monitoring compliance and managing variances
• Preparing, gaining approval of, refining and updating business cases that justify projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Educational background in computer science or engineering preferred 
• Technical background in software development, hardware and web technologies
• Proven experience delivering multi-million-dollar software programs using agile
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project or Program management
• Experience working within agile project management methodologies is essential
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office Inc. Excel, Word, Project
• Strong presentation and written communication
• Experience working in AUSDEFCON framework.
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Project Management Qualification – PMBOK, Prince2 or equivalent
• Experience in delivering projects for Government or Defence customers
• Forecasting and budgeting experience including prior experience in permit approvals within Australia
• Procurement and Supply Chain knowledge
• Experience in creating Project management plans to support bids and tenders

Some interstate travel will be required and Must Be an Australian Citizen, you will also be required to complete ADF security clearance.
