About the role

The role of Project Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of a wide range of capital and operating projects across the region, in accordance with the project management strategy of Central Coast Council. The Project Manager will provide day-to-day leadership to a team of specialists that support the effective and efficient delivery of services and infrastructure to the community by the Council. 

Reporting to the Team Leader Project Management, this role will see you undertaking a wide range of key duties and responsibilities to ensure that organisational objectives are met including the direct responsibility to manage and delivery a wide range of projects, including capital works and environmental projects including delivery of project feasibility, estimates, investigations and design services.

Additionally, this role will see you developing project plans for the delivery of each project you oversee, including the need to define projects, developing work breakdown structures, defining and procuring specialist resources and overseeing the implementation of such projects.   

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field. 
  • Demonstrated Project Manager experience in projects of significant complexity with a political environment with differing stakeholders.
  • The ability to control and coordinate multiple significant projects simultaneously, coordinating internal and external resources to manage technical, legal and organisational issues. 

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $99.7k - $119.6k + up to $20k market loading for the right candidate + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance +  $200 per week vehicle allowance + 11.5% superannuation
  • This is a Permanent full time role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
  • Successful candidates will be required to have vaccinations against Tetanus.

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
