FSC Civils are looking for a Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects, such as roads and bridges. You will be responsible for managing the project team, budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards, as well as liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in road and bridge construction, and a degree in civil engineering. You should also have strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. This position may suit someone who is looking for career advancement from a Senior Project Engineer role, and has at least five years of experience in that capacity.
Project Manager responsibilities include:
- Planning and overseeing all aspects of civil construction projects
Job Budget Preparation - assist with Tenders and maintain costs against budgets when on a project, and report any deviations or issues to SLT
- Coordinating with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the project meets the quality, scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Prepare and track Project Programmes on MS Project and Primavera.
- Prepare Project Workpacks including risk assessments and SWMS.
- Temporary works designs coordination.
- Preparing and reviewing project documents, such as contracts, bids, proposals, estimates, schedules, reports, permits, and safety plans.
- Monitoring and controlling the project progress, risks, issues, and performance, and taking corrective actions when needed.
- Managing the project resources, such as materials, equipment, labour, and subcontractors, and ensuring their optimal utilisation and allocation.
- Communicating effectively with the project team, senior management, and external parties, and providing regular updates and feedback.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and best practices in civil construction.
- Solving any problems or conflicts that may arise during the project execution, and ensuring customer satisfaction and quality delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Project Management or;
- 5 years’ experience in a Senior Project Management role
