The Queensland Government has launched Homes for Queenslanders - an ambitious plan for a fair and sustainable housing system that ensures better housing outcomes both now and for future generations.
To support the Homes for Queenslanders plan, Information and Digital Services is leading a Service Modernisation Program (SMP) which will deliver a comprehensive program of work which will:
- improve the way vulnerable Queenslanders interact with our frontline services;
- provide a single source of truth for data and;
- provide us with the agility to respond to the changing needs of Queenslanders through reducing the complexity of our ICT ecosystem.
The Project Manager will report directly to the Program Director - Delivery and will be responsible for the delivery and leadership of Service Transformation projects that drive SMP objectives.
• Develop, influence and manage relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, identifying cross government synergies and opportunities for collaboration in delivery of project and program outcomes.
• Lead and manage service modernisation and transformation projects, in order to achieve program objectives, on time and within budget.
• Facilitate the prioritisation and strategic alignment of initiatives to contribute towards strategic decision making.
• Facilitate regular project assurance activities, to help mitigate risk effectively.
• Lead effective project planning, risk, change, quality, and resource management activities within projects to support successful project delivery, and consistent application of program and project management methodologies.
• Lead the monitoring and reporting of the project's benefits, schedules, dependencies, finances, and general status.
• Lead the management of financial planning, budgets and vendor engagements and contracts to ensure successful project outcomes
• Provide timely and expert advice to project and program boards.
• Provide exceptional leadership, build resilience, and work collaboratively across multi-functional teams whilst effectively managing uncertainty and change.
