The Role
The Project Manager is responsible for managing customer projects of varying complexity. The experienced Project Manager will possess a strong technical knowledge of data networking, Cloud, end user compute and security solutions.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical project delivery through project life cycle.
- Experience using a recognized project management methodology.
- Exposure to and understanding of operations, procedures and policies related to the specific business area.
- Specialist experience in managing complex projects, large-scale systems integration and architecture, and engineering.
- Proven experience in working with remote teams and demonstrated ability to manage and lead staff.
- Experience in producing and communicating detailed project reporting.
- Experience in managing and mitigating project issues and risks.
Tasks & responsibilities
The Project Manager is primarily responsible for the following:
- Successfully delivering customer projects that include new builds or system migrations, cloud migrations, security, service desk onboarding, network rollouts and various other managed services engagements.
- Ensuring a great customer onboarding experience and seamless transition from project to operations phase.
- Identifying project dependencies and working with relevant departments to ensure dependencies are resolved and plans carried out effectively.
- Developing project artefacts including the project management plan, risk management plans, resource plans and project status reporting.
- Implementing risk management strategies to manage overall strategic project risks, issues, financials, milestones and benefits realization.
- Preparing project budget and monitoring project financials while monitoring and tracking project financials.
- Invoking and managing change management process where necessary.
- Managing and participating in post-project implementation reviews, and report on lessons learned as part of overall process improvement.
