A new and exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join JJJ to manage small ($1 - $5M) Defence projects and other locations in SA. The position is WFH based in Adelaide requiring regular site travel, including overnight stays when required.
About the role:Reporting to the Group Project Manager/Owner, you will be pioneering the SA projects team in our newly awarded projects work. With an established network, you will hit the ground running and be able to build a team who work autonomously, but also work well with the existing Project Managers, Commercial, HR, WHS, Environmental, Finance and Administration teams.
You will have demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage sub-contractors, suppliers, and equipment procurement. With excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic and be able to communicate at all levels internally and externally.
About you:- Minimum 5 years Project Management and site-based exposure.
- Availability to travel / work away from Adelaide for short periods.
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Building, Construction or similar.
- Ability to work closely with clients, leadership, and other project teams.
- Refined commercial acumen and experience in contract administration, claims, reporting, budget, expenditure and finance.
- Procurement management where schedules align to site delivery needs and timing.
- Ability to provide support and coordination to site-based delivery teams.
- Develop and maintain project cost and program schedules.
- Distribute project design information to site teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance of our Safety Management Plans, project scopes and plans and participate in audits, inspections, toolboxes and compliance reporting.
- Capture and manage variations.
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships.
- Ensure quality and safety standards remain high to minimise harm/injury.
- Help overcome issues that arise from time to time.
