This dynamic restaurant business is entering an exciting growth phase, with a significant focus on flagship new restaurant builds (including drive-thru) and major refurbishments of its large existing restaurant base. This role is responsible for execution and implementation of the brand’s image across this portfolio, working with fellow Project Managers in a vibrant and energetic team. The role is responsible for defining project schedules, requirements, and outcomes from conception to completion and ensuring projects are delivered within budget, timeframe and business expectations.
About the role:
- Project Management of multiple concurrent projects.
- Work closely with a panel of approved designers, to brief and review design layouts and mark-up specified revisions. Seek relevant approvals internally and externally.
- Ensure timely production of clear and comprehensive tender documents whether created in-house or through approved consultants.
- Review tenders and award contracts to service providers as required.
- Ensure proper ordering of Intellectual Property items and direct order items.
- Ensure during the construction phase that the project is delivered on time, on budget and in the best interests of all stakeholders.
- Ensure a complete, clean and smooth turnover to operations personnel/franchisees and others, including clearing of snags.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all internal/external stakeholders, especially across Property, Finance and Operations functions of the business.
- Experience in Retail Project/Construction Management.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant planning and construction methods.
- Proactive, organised and detail orientated.
- Proven ability to run multiple projects concurrently.
- Superior customer service orientated abilities to meet the needs of various in-house and external business partners.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks and varied personalities.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Knowledge and a strong understanding of building codes and Australian standards.
- Drive-thru experience is not essential, but highly regarded.
- Franchising experience is not essential, but highly regarded.

This is a full-time permanent role mainly worked between Monday to Friday, evening and weekend work may be required. Based in our funky office in Abbotsford with flexible work arrangements and great coffee nearby. Travel to interstate and remote/regional areas will be required.
