The Partnerships & Strategic Engagement Group establishes & promotes a partnerships framework to build QCS capability and strengthen relationships with government agencies, non-government organisations & academic institutions.
The group collaborates with internal stakeholders such as Custodial Operations, Community Corrections and Specialist Operations to ensure clear and strong connections.
CS currently operates 13 Work Camps across Queensland. Work camps provide eligible prisoners with rehabilitation through community service.
The role of Project Manager, Discrete Community Work Camp is responsible for leading the successful delivery of the Discrete Community Work Camp Project. This project will focus on planning and consultation with discrete communities to determine the viability of a First Nations Work Camp, and supporting cultural connections program, in Far North Queensland, Central Queensland or Wide Bay Burnett region.
The role will work closely with the QCS Murridhagun Cultural Centre in the design and delivery of the project.
In this role you will:
- Lead the development of culturally appropriate, innovative, contemporary, and fit for purpose solutions in the project aligned to the strategic objectives and priorities of QCS.
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of the project through project management methodologies, processes, documentation and reporting aligned with QCS' project management framework.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the project, including through best practice and culturally appropriate consultation approaches.
- Effectively identify and manage risks and issues to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes.
- Undertake complex data-collection, research, analysis, and consultation to support project delivery and inform project recommendations.
- Prepare high quality reports, briefing notes, and presentations on designated project outcomes, findings, and recommendations.
- Manage and direct the effective and efficient use of allocated project resources
