About Us
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is a branch within the Health Infrastructure Division (HID) of the Victorian Department of Health (DH), responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. Our diverse projects span the health, mental health and aged care portfolios across metropolitan, regional and rural settings and ambulance branches across Victoria. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. Our priority is to provide innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions that will ensure our health system meets the needs of all Victorians now and into the future.
On the 2nd April 2024, the Victorian Health Building Authority which is currently under the Department of Health will come together with the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) to become the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA).
How You'll Make a Difference
The Project Manager, Energy Programs will lead delivery of the $40 million energy efficiency and solar program with responsibility for:
- managing investment in solar arrays on public health facilities,
- managing the procurement & delivery of energy audits and efficiency initiatives across 50 small rural and regional health services, and other small health facilities, including Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Centres, and
- supporting the electrification of public hospitals through development of a "Gas substitution roadmap" and replacement of gas-fired infrastructure.
Suitable Applicants Will Be Able To Demonstrate
- Demonstrated experience in managing energy & efficiency/solar programs and/or projects across a large infrastructure portfolio
- Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in the electrification (or gas substitution) of complex engineering infrastructure
- Technical understanding of energy efficiency and solar
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Sound Project & time management skills to work across a breadth of activities
- Proven problem solving abilities, along with the creativity to innovate for continuous improvement.
